More Style Tests

Here’s another peek at my current project: a cartoony treatment vs. an inky treatment. I started out with the cartoony one, but staring at it for a while, I decided I wanted to try something edgier and with a little more movement. This one just seemed a bit too static.

The inky one was my second style test, and though I love several elements of it, it’s not quite perfect yet. I like the looser style and the more muted color palette, though I’m not sold on some of the line weights and the texture of the grass. Time for more tweaking.
